In addition to gathering as a community, Mobile Community Meditation Center leads sitting and walking meditation as well as Dharma and Sutta discussions.
SITTING MEDITATION

Whether you're new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner, everyone is welcomed to join for a fully guided mindfulness meditation in the park, on the grass, under the shade of the palm trees, with a stunning view of the sparkling ocean. Bring a cushion or chair and please try to arrive 5 minutes early. Be ready to enjoy a truly peaceful moment as we relax, be aware and make new friends. Give yourself the love and attention you deserve by developing your mind, finding peace and creating community.

BOOK DISCUSSION

Want to become more familiar with the Buddha's teachings; to read, study and learn Dhamma? Please feel free to join a peer led book discussion every Saturday. We'll be reading and discussing from one of my teacher - Sayadaw U Tejaniya's newer book, 'Relax and Be Aware, Mindfulness Meditations for Clarify, Confidence And Wisdom.'

Peer-Led Book Discussion every Saturday at 11 AM at South Beach Park, 2600 Barnard Way, in Santa Monica.

Weekly Dhamma Discussion between Stacey and Venerable Bhante Dhammaloka every Tuesday at 10 am pst via zoom. The discussion will also inclue a short meditation session, some chanting and Q & A.

WALKING MEDITATION

Meditation isn't something that needs to happen in a quiet room without any distracting sights or sounds. In fact we can develop our mindfulness while in nature; walking on the shore feeling the warmth of the sun on our face, the cool ocean splashing around our feet. Stacey freely offers an opportunity to practice walking meditation; to develop as individuals, as a community, and as stewards of the earth with this gentle practice that opens our hearts and minds, discovering what it means to truly be alive on this vibrant and wonderful planet. There will be a brief explanation of how to do the practice, before the group silently walks along the coastline for approximately 40 minutes ending up back at Tower 22.
